São Tomé: Ambassador Perišić Delivers Serbian Government Donation to São Tomé and Príncipe

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Luanda, Miloš Perišić, who is also accredited on a non-residential basis to São Tomé and Príncipe, delivered a donation from the Government of the Republic of Serbia intended for the government of that country

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Communities, Edite Ten Jua, who received the donation on behalf of São Tomé and Príncipe’s government, expressed gratitude to Serbia. She emphasized that the food products would immediately be distributed to the most vulnerable segments of the population.

She stated that Serbia and São Tomé and Príncipe have maintained decades-long friendly relations and cooperation, highlighting that this donation is a result of those strong ties.

Ambassador Perišić emphasized that the Republic of Serbia, as a responsible member of the international community, strives to assist the most vulnerable countries. He expressed hope that the Serbian government’s donation would benefit the people and government of São Tomé and Príncipe and help them overcome the current crisis.

He conveyed that Serbia is committed to continuing to develop cooperation with São Tomé and Príncipe in areas of mutual interest, such as agriculture, education, and healthcare.
