Saо Tomé: Ambassador Perišić with officials from São Tomé and Príncipe

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Angola, Miloš Perišić, who also covers the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe on a non-resident basis, had a series of bilateral meetings with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Agriculture, Youth and Sports, as well as with the Director of the Directorate for Tourism of that country, following the presentation of his credentials to the President of São Tomé and Príncipe.
The discussions highlighted the long-standing friendship between Serbia and São Tomé and Príncipe, which dates back to the early days of the island nation's struggle for independence.
The possibilities for cooperation and Serbia's assistance in the fields of defense, agriculture, tourism, and sports were considered. It was agreed to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries with appropriate events.
