Office of the Secretary-General

The Secretariat-General, abbreviated as SG, is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to the bodies, directorates, services, and the office of the Government member. It is headed by a Secretary-General appointed under the Diplomatic Career Statute and general law.

The Secretary-General performs the functions established in this regulation and in the Diplomatic Career Statute, ensures the overall coordination of the Ministry in the absence of the Minister, and carries out other administrative duties by delegation. The Secretary-General may be assisted by a deputy with the rank of Ambassador or Minister Plenipotentiary.
